Children under 1 year old and children aged 12 and over are welcome at The Hearth. Please note that we do not host children's parties, and children aged 1–11 are not permitted in the space. As the event organiser, you are responsible for ensuring all guests are aware of and comply with this policy.

We don’t have dedicated parking directly outside The Hearth, as Lonsdale Road is a private road. However, there is pay-and-display parking available on the surrounding streets including Victoria Road, Edmond Road, and Glengall Road, all approximately a 5 to 10 minute walk away.

You’re welcome to stop briefly in front of The Hearth for loading and unloading. There are also street pay-and-display machines nearby.

Parking is free on weekends.

For Sunday bookings:
Please note that Lonsdale Road is closed to vehicle access from 8am to 3pm. Cars can access the road before 8am and after 3pm only. We also host our Sunday Hearth Market outside the venue from 10am to 2pm, though the indoor venue remains exclusively reserved for private hires.

Once your payment is confirmed, you will receive a receipt by email. Our team will then be in touch to finalise your booking details, confirm your room setup, and answer any outstanding questions ahead of your event. Full payment of the hire fee is due 30 days before your event date.

Yes — the £100 security deposit is refundable, provided the venue is left in good condition and all house rules have been followed. Please note that if your booking is cancelled for any reason, the deposit is non-refundable.

Your deposit is returned within 2 weeks after your event, provided the venue is left in good condition and all house rules have been followed.

No — the £100 security deposit is separate from your venue hire fee and any minimum bar spend. It is not a partial payment toward your booking costs. The deposit is held as a security bond and refunded within 2 weeks after your event, provided the venue is left in good condition and all house rules have been followed. You will still be required to pay your hire fee in full separately.

Yes — rebooking is allowed within 3 months of your original event date, provided written notice is given at least 30 days in advance. If notice is given less than 30 days before the event, the booking will be treated as a full cancellation, the deposit remains non-refundable, and the full hire fee remains payable.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
Cancellations made more than 30 days before your event will receive a full refund of the hire fee (excluding the deposit).
Cancellations made 15–29 days before the event receive a 50% refund of the hire fee.
Cancellations within 14 days of the event are non-refundable. If you need to rebook, this is possible within 3 months of your original date, provided you give at least 30 days' notice.

Payment methods vary depending on your booking type. Dry hire fees must be paid by bank transfer. For wet hire, your minimum bar spend can be paid by card on the day of the event or by bank transfer in advance.
