Suitable for embroidery virgins and curious stitchers alike, the first half of this class will focus on the foundations of hand embroidery. Together we will start a stitch sampler as we learn core stitches such as back stitch, chain stitch, French knots, stem stitch and many more. For the rest of the class you will be applying your new skills and making a solid start on a piece of hoop art of your very own - which could either make for the perfect lovingly handmade gift, or a treat for yourself to proudly display on your wall. The design can be totally of your choosing - so please bring along some ideas and inspiration! All materials will be provided, and you will get to keep your needle, hoop and thread so you don’t lose momentum when you leave the class.
