About This Event
Ancient Wisdom, Modern Hormones and the Female Body
We will look at what our hormones do, why things start to change in midlife, and how perimenopause and menopause really work.
We will compare how a 5,000-year-old holistic science of health and Western medicine each understand these changes, and share simple, practical ways to look after yourself through them, from digestion and sleep to daily rhythm and stress.
Modern Western medicine helps us understand what is happening physiologically: how ovarian function changes, why oestrogen and progesterone fluctuate, and how these changes can affect mood, metabolism, cognition and the menstrual cycle.
Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old science of life and health, looks at the same transition from a wider perspective. Rather than focusing only on individual hormones, it considers the whole system: digestion, energy, stress response, sleep, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing and the body's ability to adapt to change.
What we will cover:
The basic female hormones and what they do
Why hormonal patterns begin to change in midlife
What perimenopause actually is
The difference between perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause
Why symptoms vary so much from woman to woman
Common symptoms such as hot flushes, poor sleep, mood changes, brain fog, weight changes, joint pain and fatigue
How stress and the nervous system can amplify symptoms
The role of digestion, nutrition, sleep and daily rhythm
Why muscle, bone and metabolic health become increasingly important
How Ayurveda approaches the transition through balance, nourishment and adaptation
Please note this event is exclusively for women.

Dominika Golebiowska
Mind-body Intelligence Strategist
Dominika is a certified health and wellbeing strategist and the founder of MCG UK, a wellbeing practice for women who want to live at their best without sacrificing their health or calm.
Her work is rooted in Ayurveda, a system of medicine said to be 5,000 years old, which sees the body as one connected system rather than a set of symptoms. Instead of quick fixes, Dominika looks for the root cause of imbalance, whether it shows up in digestion, energy, mood or stress.
She guides her clients through a tailored process built on three pillars: Regulation, Rhythm and Environment.
