About The Event

Come and join The Hearth Women’s Writers’ Circle! A warm and welcoming space for women writers to set their writing goals for the month ahead, discuss the difficulties of the industry and encourage each other to get writing done.

Whether you’re working on fiction, non-fiction, or poetry, the circle is open to anyone seeking a supportive community to motivate, inspire, and encourage their writing goals. Sessions are monthly and run in two parts, combining both creative and sharing-focused time.

5–6 pm – Write Together (optional)

We begin the session with a dedicated quiet writing time alongside others. This is an opportunity to focus on your work free from distraction, motivated by being part of a group. Participation in this portion is optional, and all members are welcome to join if they wish.

6–7:30 pm – Circle Time

This portion of the session includes informal peer-to-peer discussion about the writing journey. Whether you’re working on a manuscript, dabbling in blog writing, or haven’t picked up the pen in a while, this is an opportunity to share as much or as little about your personal journey in a supportive, non-judgemental space.

You’re also welcome to bring short excerpts (up to 500 words) for feedback or simply to read aloud. Writers who would like more detailed feedback can share their work in advance for group review.

The circle is supported by a digital WhatsApp community, where members can check in, share work, and continue discussions outside of the sessions.

Free for Hearth members. £10 for non-members (includes tea).
