About This Event

Skin, Sugar & Everything We Were Never Taught is an open, honest conversation about body care, confidence and the things we’re expected to know—but are rarely actually taught.

From skincare and sugaring to body hair, intimate care, hygiene and understanding our changing bodies, this event brings the conversations that are often awkward, overlooked or surrounded by misinformation into one welcoming space.

Whether you’re curious about how to properly care for your skin, want to understand the art and benefits of sugaring, or simply have questions you’ve never felt comfortable asking, this is a judgement-free space to learn, share and feel more confident in your own body.

Expect practical advice, honest conversations and plenty of “why did nobody teach us this?” moments. Come curious, leave informed—with a better understanding of your body, your options and how to care for yourself with confidence.

Please note this event is exclusively for women.

📸 Event Photography: We may take photos or short videos during the event to celebrate our community and for promotional use. We’ll aim to give notice beforehand. Deandra Munroe, an aesthetician, is a sugaring aesthetician with 6 years of experience and a deep passion for helping women feel confident, cared for and connected to their bodies.

My approach to skincare goes beyond the surface. I’m passionate about holistic methods that honour the body, encourage healthy skin and make self-care feel both intentional and enjoyable. Through sugaring and skincare, I love creating spaces where women can learn, ask questions, feel empowered and embrace their individuality.

I believe beauty doesn’t have to be so serious—it can be whimsical, joyful and a little magical, too. My goal is to share the knowledge I’ve gained along the way while making conversations about our bodies feel approachable, honest and fun.
