About The Event

What is a Climate Café?

As the climate crisis deepens, so does our need to talk about it, not just the science or politics, but the personal impact: our grief, fear, frustration and longing for change.

The Hearth’s Climate Café is a space for open, heartfelt conversation, a place where you can share what you’re feeling, feel better by sharing positive thoughts and considering how to take action, and hear inspiring speakers and gain fresh perspective

Everyone is welcome. Whether you're newly aware or deeply involved in climate issues, this is a space to rediscover hope through connection and shared purpose.

This month, we're joined by Carlota Baschwitz and Shivanee Harshey for a discussion about Decarbonising daily life: The systems, the cost, the choices and trade-offs.

What to Expect:

  • An open, non-judgemental space to express your thoughts and emotions about the climate crisis.

  • An inspiring fireside chat on decarbonising daily life.

  • Warm, in-person connection with likeminded people who care.

  • Guided discussions led by facilitators with interest and empathy.

  • An opportunity to share simple, practical actions to help you feel more hopeful.

Underlying Principles

  • Human-induced climate change is real, and it is a problem.

  • We value inclusion across age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, immigration status, carbon footprint and climate knowledge.

Please note this event is exclusively for women.

Free for Hearth Members, pay what you can for non-members (includes tea).

📸 Event Photography: We may take photos or short videos during the event to celebrate our community and for promotional use. We’ll aim to give notice beforehand.
